Join Us For Afro Fest!
The African Students Union (ASU) at Hardin-Simmons University is gearing up for its anticipated Afro Fest. Scheduled for Thursday, November 9, 2023, this event will be a vibrant and culturally enriching experience aimed at sharing the immensely rich and diverse African culture with the campus.
The event will provide an engaging space for the HSU community to experience various traditions, sounds, and music from Africa. Live performances, including dance routines, poems, and miming, are some forms of entertainment to look forward to at this event.
Shalom Ochu, the President of ASU, shared, “I am so excited about this event! As a new club, we are honored to have such an opportunity to share our culture here with the students on campus.”
It does not matter if attendees have a deep African connection or are newcomers to this culture because the Afro Fest promises a fun, enlightening, and fun-filled experience for everyone present. To prepare for the Afro Fest, all you must do is show up with a large appetite, your dancing shoes, and an open mind.
